Learn to Play Online Sweep Card Game

Sweep card game
also known as Seep, Siv, or Shiv is an online fishing casino game. The game is especially popular in Northern parts of India and Pakistan. Seep is played by 2 to 4 players and is played in partnership. Players in teams sit across from each other. In the game, the total value of the cards is 100 points. Another older variation where the total value is 30 points, is played in Punjab and parts of Pakistan.

The objective is to capture cards with a point value and bring the total point value to 100. Spades cards have points equal to their capture value. For example- the King is worth 13 points and Ace is equal to 1 point.

In this article, we will go over the rules and gameplay of the Sweep card game. So without further delay, let’s get started.

How to Play a Sweep Card Game?

It is essential to familiarise yourself with the Seep card game rules and gameplay before you start playing the game. Here are the rules and gameplay of the game:

The Objective of the Game

The objective of Seep is to capture valuable cards in the game table. When a team takes a 100-point lead, the game is concluded. This is known as a bazzi. Players or teams can decide beforehand how many games or bazzis they want to play.

How to Capture Cards?

Play 1 card from and put up 1 or more cards with the same capture value from the same group. You can use your hand card to capture cards of equal value from the table.

Capture Points

  • Ace: 1

  • 2 to 10: Face Value

  • Jack: 11

  • Queen: 12

  • King: 13

Players can also create piles also known as houses from the cards while capturing them. Houses can only be captured as a unit. Cards on the table that are not part of any house are termed loose cards.

Add the Points of the Captured Cards

  • Spade cards have the same points as their capture value.

  • Aces of other suits are worth 1 point.

  • Ten of Diamonds is worth 6 points.

Houses

Pukka House(Cemented House): If you add another card with the same value to a house of value 9 to 12, you will create a Pukka house. You can add a Jack to a house of 11. The house cannot be broken down, even with a value of 12 and 13.

House(Uncemented House): Pile of cards equal to the capture value when added together.

Sweep Card Game Rules

  • All cards are dealt face-up

  • Every Spade card is worth its face value

  • Four face-down cards are dealt to each player in a counter-clockwise direction

  • If the first player has more than one card worth nine points or more, they can pick one. However, the cards must be re-dealt if the first player has no cards valued at 9 or more.
